Greetings,

All the trucks were finally given permission to pass last night. We met with the truckers this morning. We kept the two trucks for Aibak here and unloaded them, and sent the other seven on their way.

Two of the trucks have goods for FAR - Friends for Afghan Reconstruction. Mr. Sher Dil will be receiving these trucks until we get there. He may decide to try to offload them on Saturday or Sunday.

The Mercy Corps Sun Oven is in the very back (at tailgate) of one of the trucks for FAR.

We just unloaded the Aibak oven today. It will take a heavy duty fork lift, or if no fork lift is available, a crane. If neither is available, it will take a hill, loading dock, tree, strong rope, and 20 guys.

Walt Ratterman and his associates from Knightsbridge communicate with Greenstar and many others each day through a satellite phone, equipped to send data, including email and photographs.

Here they set up their hand-carried solar modules, satphone and antenna outside Aibak, Afghanistan. More information on the work of Knightsbridge international and reports from the field in Afghanistan can be found at www.kbi.org
